Hello. My Name is Tyler Craft.
I was born in Cleveland, Ohio. I moved to Saint Louis, Missouri, just before high school. Despite this I still root for all the Cleveland teams (no matter how often they lose!). After graduating from high school I went to University of Missouri - Columbia where I received a bachelor of arts in computer science with an emphasis in digital media. Shortly thereafter, I received a masters in education technology.
After college, I worked for a couple years at the Center for Online Learning, a department within the Saint Louis Federal Reserve Bank. At COL, I helped design and build e-learning courses.
In 2006 I left the Fed to become Senior Developer at TOKY Branding + Design, a Saint Louis graphic design shop. At TOKY I oversee all things development. The projects can range from PHP & AJAX to large flash sites; both usually supported with custom content management systems.
What it comes down to is that I love working with creative designers to build something beautiful, usable and unique. I love seeing a great design implemented to pixel perfection. If possible, I try to use existing technology, however, I'd rather take the time to build something custom that works great for the project than sacrifice design or something unique about the site to make it easier to build.
When not coding, I'm usually listening to music, cooking something new with my wife Rachel, or taking pictures with one of my many cameras.
